Default LR3 V8 4.4 Dip Stick Tube is Cracked..

Hi the mechanic smoked the engine as I've had a check engine light on for a long time but car runs excellent. So the Dip Stick Tube has a hole in it.I tried Atlantic British and they don't have that part.
Any suggestions where to get an OEM quality one ?
Thank you

FYI there are a couple versions, so make sure you compare the old with new. Double check, but I think the part number for 2005-2009 is LQM500030. A search should bring up sellers, such as AutoHaus or Parts Geek which both have genuine. They are not cheap at about $70 USD. Kinda surprised AB does not have em.

hi Dakota that seems to be the part number for the dip stick itself not the dipstick tube.: (

Ope! Read that wrong. Not used to people needed the tube. If the mechanic smoked it, tell the mechanic to find one.

Depends on whether by 'smoked it', you meant they did a smoke test on it or they broke it If they broke it, then sure, let them make it right. If they just found it w a smoke test, then if it were me, I'd find a used one to install.

Yes Ive been having a Check Engine light for most of the year but car running excellent and he said it was nothing serious. I wanted it solved as we took it in for other things so he Smoke Tested Engine and there is the leak.
Since I can't find one he is going to repair the old one. Whew thank goodness I can't believe the part is not findable for a car that was last made only in 2009.
