Default LR3 Won't start, just one click

So, I changed the alternator last night, and now she won't start...I did have one short with a spark during the swap. Here is what I have done so far:
1. charged the battery and had the battery load tested and its good
2. swapped out the Starter relay with one that works, and checked all the relevant fuses.
3. The battery terminals are clean and tight, and I checked the ground and it's tight as well.
4. tapped on the starter while someone tried to start car

When I turn the headlights on and try to start it, I hear the single click and the headlights don't dim at all.

Can anyone help? I'm close to throwing in the towel and calling a tow truck...

thanks!!

How did you have a short with a spark? I seriously hope you disconnected the battery before attempting to swap the alternator. Regardless, fuses, fusible links and relays would be the first thing I would start looking at. My guess is that you blew something associated with one of the many ecus. Hopefully, it's just a fuse and you can find it easily.

I recently fixed an issue similar to this in our LR3. The fix was to replace the positive battery cable end. There is a fusible link in there. Also had to clear faults and reset controllers. This was over my head so I took it to the mechanic. $700. I'm not saying this is the solution for your issue but it sounds exactly like what I had happening.
