Default Is Mercon SP XT-6-QSP good for my 2008 LR3

I have read posts that say Ford Mercon SP is good for the ZF 6HP6 transmission found in the LR3 and similar year Land Rovers. I am wondering if this Mercon SP XT-6-QSP is the same and good to use?
I have not come across the XT-6-QSP designation before. Any thoughts on this? No idea if my transmission fluid has ever been changed so I would like to do that but need to be sure of correct fluid.
I can get 12 quarts of this from Amazon for $238 CA. Ford no longer carries Mercon SP by the way. Checked two dealerships today.

It is identical in spec to Lifeguard 6, so it will work fine. It is simply the same stuff just made in the US versus being made in Europe and shipping it over. This was when Ford owner LR at one point and needed fluids to service vehicles. Many people use it. That is a bit pricy though, 175 CA if bought in the states (131 USD).

Better off saving some money and getting Liqui Moly Top Tec 1800.

It's only $10-$11 a quart on Amazon

So same price. Probably a good alternative. I myself will stick to the proper spec fluid, but I know AB sells the stuff for the LR3.

It's got the Rover spec (TYK500050), and every other Euro maker's ZF spec. I've run it for a couple years in mine with no issues. I picked my Rover/Euro shop's brain out here about fluids and they swear by it.

I bought the Top Tec 1800 for $214 CAD. Will change the Trans a couple times with the 20L later this summer before I drive up to Alaska.
