Anyone find any good deals on a mesh grill insert for the LR3? The best i can find is 500 bucks and that seems like alot for some mesk grill insert. It would give the front end a nicetouch. Has anyone ever just cut their own if so was it worth it, how did it turn out, and how did you fasten it on?

 

I think I will try to make my own mesh grille any suggestions before i get started

 

Your are talking about a Saudi Grille, hard to find and expensive.
2 of us are about to start building some for Disco's.

like that is what i was thinking. mesh or a hex pattern I have to pop the hood and look in their and see how i should fasten it.

 

i think ill just make some carboard templates and se how to fasten them in then transfer it over to the mesh when i get done i will post pics. of it finished.
mabie ill sell some and make a buck or 2

I have to get on evil-bay and find some mesh I like then the cutting will commence!
When I am done I will post some pics I will probably make 2 not sure if I should paint it to match or just polish the alluminumnumnum.
Probably wait till it warms up a bit to knock it out. Should be able to do it in an afternoon. looks like it should be simple to secure it their.
