Does anyone know what lubricants Land Rover uses for stuff like the hood hinges, door checks, hatch and tailgate hinges? I would imagine some thick grease or at the other end maybe white lithium?

I'll ask my dealer this week if possible and report back on what he says. Do let me know here if you've heard anything or use anything specific.

 

Good luck finding more specific lube recommendations for the LR3 from LR publications.

This is all that's in the D2 Workshop Manual, D1 manual adds that the grease is good for Seat slides & Door lock striker.

Some mfgs. have long lists probably in hopes of making multiple sales or to jack up servicing costs.
