More issues on 05 LR3
Well it seems as though every post I have made in the past week since picking up our "certified" 05 LR3 has been negative so I am asking you all for feedback? Did I get a bad pick from the litter or is this normal with the LR3? I had a 99 Disco before and LOVED IT. Here has been my beef:
1: Told by salesman that it is bluetooth compatible. TRUTH: not so
2: Auto tilt rear view mirrors: DONT work: Made appointment to fix
3: Constant ticking during acceleration: addressing this issue with service dept.
4:Washer for windshield front and back: BROKEN
5:Currently on a road trip and guess what?
A: Brake warning light constantly orange
B:ABS light constantly orange
C: Dynamic stability control constantly orange
D:SEVERAL Fault messages
6:It is July 4th so no dealerships are open. 24 hour roadside assistance tells me I am responsible for finding a rental car and then I can submit my expense for reinbursement. Well guess what? No cars available for one way travel due to high demand on the holiday.
Is this the kind of service and quality vehicle you get for $35K???????????
My 1978 wagoneer project vehicle performs better than this!

Call this morning and make an appointment with the service manager to get the truck into the shop, that's all you can do.
Service wise, Ford has really hurt Rovers service compared to when I was a service manager with them, just hang in there and get all the bugs worked out.
You'll get a good truck out of it when all is said and done.

I agree. I have a 2005 LR3 HSE and there have been several little things that have had to be taken care of over time. The mirrors are easy to fix. It is the control module. The ABS is probably a module, or a loose wire connection, which has been a plague for the LR3's. Let the dealer take all the time they need and don't let them push it out the door until they have solved everything. Be sure that they install ALL of the software updates as well.
The ticking could be something as strange as the steering bushings going bad.[8D]

I bought a certified 2005 in December of 2005. It was one of the dealer's loaners. I have had a few minor problems, but the dealer (in Roswell, GA) has been great and has resolved all issues. Sounds like you may have a double problem in that you bought a problematic LR3 and you have a "not so good" dealer. I would contact Land Rover corporate if things do not get better.

Good luck.

Well I just found out that the differential needs to be completely replaced! As for the tilt mirrors, they tell me AFTER I purchase it, that it does not come with auto tilt mirrors, even thought the salesperson showed me how to enter the info tab and scroll to the correct place to set the amount of tilt I want. The bluetooth that Iwas told I had??? Well, that too "was not included" and they are "very sorry" for telling me that it was included. However if I want to add the aftermarket bluetooth it would cost me about $1200. WOW!
When I bought my certifed LR3, the sticker on the window said it had the towing package. After we agreed on a price, the sales rep said it did not have the package. He looked at the window sticker and said "well, guess we will have to add it, of course, at our expense". Read my previous update, you need to contact LR corporate and get help.
