Default Mounting hardware for the A-Frame Protection Bar

Got an A-Frame Protection Bar for my 2007 LR3 for free, but I don’t have any of the mounting hardware.

Checked the web, made some calls, still can’t find one.

Anyone have a lead on the mounting hardware kit?

I know I can fabricate a kit myself, but trying to see if I can find a ready-made kit before I go that route. Also, the folks at Lucky 8 let me know that Flatdog UK has powder-coated stainless steel brackets to replace the plastic ones, so there’s part of the kit right there.

Thanks.

Default Flatdog

Do you have a link to that by any chance? I've been looking for new brackets forever!

The mounting hardware is prohibitively expensive. I suggest fabricating. I had to re-vamp mine and it's not that complicated.

I wouldn’t say expensive, I would say non-existent. I got the bar for free, so don’t mind spending some jack to get the hardware. I’m capable of fabricating it, if necessary.

Thanks for the link....I thought I'd sourced the hardware for $300 as a kit. Way too much for what it is.

Default Which A Bar do you have?

Those mounts in the link are for the top mounts which are common to both the old and newer style A Bar. There were 4 different A-Bars for the D3/LR3. 2 for the factory winch option and 2 for the non-winch options.
Old bolt (old style)
Without winch - VUB501210
With Winch VUB501230

New Style ( single bolt)
Without winch - LR005237
With Winch - LR005743

I have attached the 4 fitting instruction that have pictures that may help you.

So before we can address the way it mounts to the metal part of the bumper, we need to know which A-Bar you have.

Hope this helps.

Jeff

I have the 3rd one down on your list; VUB501210.

Thank you.
