Default Moving to Alaska with a 2008 LR3 SE V8

Moving up to Anchorage this winter. I am looking to bring up my 2008 LR3 with me.

What should / need to do the vehicle to winterize it before moving up there?

Does anyone have any experience with the LR3 up there?

Thanks.

I used to live in Saskatchewan and the one thing I would recommend if you are going to be dealing with reeeeeeeally cold temps (-25 and lower) is the block heater and possibly even a thermal blanket for the battery, given its propensity to cause all sorts of issues when the voltage is low.

I had the block heater and managed ok. Starting became a bit sluggish when it was less than -30, but that's to be expected. you may also want to consider a lower viscosity oil as well.
