Anyone on here been to Alaska? What part of the state were you located and what time of the year would you consider to be the best to visit?

Also, is there anything that you consider to be a 'must see' in the state? __________________

 

ive never been but one of my brothers worked there for a few years a while back... i think he more in the southern end of the state, said he loved it... i hear its a beautiful place and i want to make it up there one day to check it out...

Come in the summer. Winter sucks unless you're really into skiing, snowboarding, ice fishing, or drifting rental cars in snowy parking lots. Pretty much everything is beautiful. Mt. McKinley is definitely worth seeing. The only bad thing about the summer is that you won't see the Aurora Borealis.
