Yup guaranteed Atacama Sand - that's the color my '06 RRS was
I always thought it was a beautiful color (VERY rare and one reason I jumped on this RRS LUX w/ OE RSE etc) but in the end, wanting a white LR was actually a primary reason for switching to a Chawton White LR3 (and general space / utility).

Basically the opposite of a non-metallic lol.

Also, looks like you are a fan of the special colors! Kinversand and Atacama. My buddy worked at Land Rover when the Kinversand D2s were on the floor. He said they were a hard sale new, but now they are sought after. We parted one out recently and sold most of the body panels to a guy locally. His paint was shot so he was super stoked. The only thing we have left is the front grill!

Interesting, because there is a light tannish non metallic LR3 driving around. Maybe it's a respray.

I do love that color though and would never change it for anything. They rarely made it to the dealership floors - they were the launch color for the DII and were mostly used for press, photoshoots, and loaned out to auto test magazines and tv shows.
If you find a dealer that has the old DII parts catalog behind the counter, all the accessory images were shot on a kinversand DII as well.
I've done a lot of body work on mine including the facelift bumper, and the paint is absolutely insanely expensive. I think 1/2 pint from PPG was ~$80 our cost. I covered the areas with a cheaper omni base then used the PPG for color. From what I recall the Atacama was in the same price code for the paint.
I think the ONLY non-metallic color on the LR3 was Chawton.
