Question Need Help Please. LR3 air compressor problem

Had the oil changed yesterday on our 2005 LR3 and was on a lift. Ever since, the pump runs everytime you start it and for up to a few minutes. Also sounds louder than usual and coming from in between driver and pass underside. I have never had this issue....is there a reset or anything? I don't think it is leaking anywhere....but not sure. Any help appreciated.

If it is louder they probably cracked the mount and or cover plate to the compressor.

The tire shop did that to mine but they reinbursed me to have it fixed. I would go with the highcounry mount that helps get it out of the way on the trail. I was not aware of the aftermarket mount at the time i did mine. It will be LOUD if it is cracked I could tell immediatly that it was louder. good luck. you should be fine to drive aroound

wow...that makes sense....it is louder than ever has been. Is it normal for it to pump everytime you start it or most of the time? Where exactly is the housing and pump located so I can take a look...did you get them to cover your damage?

The compressor is located on the drive side right under the rear passenger door. Unfortunately, it's also located immediately next to the lift point on the frame!! Therefore, they busted the brackets and/or cover. This happened to me...unfortunately, I did it myself. I was removing the wheels/tires and I put the jack right on the compressor...ugh. $400 for the new cover and brackets.

you were right! Totally cracked! What about the compressor running everytime you start it? Doesnt seem like it used to do that...? I called them and seems like they will take care of it. it runs literally everytime you start the car. even if you only leave off for only a few minutes

also, the check engine light has now come on. Solid...not flashing. Did yours come on? Do you think they damaged the compressor? I added pics of what I can see
