Default Need a new air line from compressor to rear valve

So, it seems that this hose has rubbed up against something and has a leak on my 2007 LR3.

The leak is near the left rear upper control arm rear bushing, and about 6 inches in front of the rear valve block. When I move the valve block I can barely touch it with two fingers as it is a difficult place to reach, so.........

The question is how do I repair or replace it?

Can you just cut off the damaged part and use an air hose union to join the new line to old? Something like a John Guest fitting? I think Land Rover may even sell a part like that. I would check out bbyer's gallery on Disco3forum. He's got a lot of good info there and I feel like there may have been repair information listed.

cmb6s,

Thanks for the reply.

Yes I have relied on bbyer's comments on the Disco3forum more than once.

Yes I get that. I see repair fittings on line at a lot of places.
I tend to be too in depth or technically specific on some of my questions and somehow miss what it is I want to ask. In this case I was too general in my question.

My real question is what do I take off or move so I can get to the hose that is near the rear solenoid valve block? I can barely touch it with just my fingers, so going in between the strut and upper control wont work for me.

Is the can mounted on the top of frame behind the valve block easy to remove? Maybe I can drop the spare, remove that can (charcoal filter for fuel system?) and get to it from inside the frame rails, but I can't seem to squeeze myself up there to see how the can comes off of if I can reach the valve block once I do.

Having worked on cars (both street and track) for more than a few years in my youth, I humbly consider myself to be a below average mechanic compared to some I know, but I usually see a way to reach/remove/repair parts. I now only have a floor jack and a two car garage, so access is limited (even though I was able to change all of the control arm bushing to Polybush 3 weeks ago in my garage).I cannot figure out how to get to the line to repair it. (I would prefer to replace if possible).

This one may need to go to the local indy shop who has a lift to get to it from a better angle than I can.
