They did sort of a **** poor job.
- The cowl was jet black now its almost white, they hazed it, maybe cleaned it with acetone or something that reacts with plastic.
- The cowl is not tight against the windshield big gaps. I think they broke the clips and did not replace. I even asked them to get extra clips
- The side rails coming down from the roof are loose at the bottom near the hood. I can push them in like 1/2". Probably more broken clips.
- Dash cracked.

All in all they cost me time and money. Shoddy work. Not sure I trust them to fix it now.
After my last windshield, I decided to replace the cowl and both A Pillar covers with new ones. Despite the installer using new clips, I had leaks and wind noise that drove me nuts. Given these items were 11 years old, and Colorado sun is pretty hard on things given the altitude, it seemed like it was a good choice IMO.

I'd be sure to get it fixed, RAJOD, considering it's a water ingress point....

Was this an insurance job? I'd go after them to make it right.

Do not get anything other than Pilkington stamped with a Land Rover logo. I had regular pilkington glass installed, burned out my wiper motor and killed my fuel panel (kept sending a open signal).

Pony up and buy the OEM land rover glass or it will haunt you.

I will probably do the same. 105.00 for a new cowl. Not sure on the pillars, they look perfect just probably missing a tab, I don't really hear any wind noise not rained yet so don't know about leaks yet.

Mine looked perfect, but despite new tabs installed, there was still a little play in them that allowed some horrible noise at highway speed, mostly when a cross wind was at play. Since horrible winds are pretty much the norm along the front range of Colorado, I had three options: 1, replace the covers; 2, pull my hair out (not much left as I'm getting older); 3, trade in the vehicle. Since its paid for and I still like it, I chose option 1.

Bad luck on windshield.

They wanted me to bring the Lr3 in to show them the issues.

They had to wait for owner to show up so I left to eat. They took the car into the garage. When I came back I showed her.

She agreed the cowl was messed up and should have called me if it needed a new one. So I'll pay them 85.00 extra to have a new cowl put in.

- She said "we did not crack the dash. Thing is they did but I was not asking for a new dash, just a little annoyed they accuse you of lying.
- She said we had to cut the old cowl off did you have this replaced in the past? like I put a windshield on it before. I'm like no, its original.
(are the factory cowls glued on the windsheild?

Anyway so they give me the keys and its in the shop in an awkware position like had to backup 45 degrees but not hit the trucks parked to the right etc.
Was sort of talking to them as I'm backing out, then I head BAM!.

I grazed the side of the garage opening bricks, smashed taillight, rear passenger quarter panel and bumper. I'm like arghhhh!!!!!. Never hit anything in my life backing up but was distracted and sort of annoyed it takes so many trips to get a simple thing fixed right.

3 claims in 6 months
- Deer
- windshield
- now rear end.

When I had windshield installed, there were some broken clips (old plastic) on the sides. The installers just put a glob of windshield sealant/adhesive on the inside at the top and bottom. Worked fine....at least good enough that I didn't want to pay for new panels. I did need to remove the passenger side a couple of months later to mount the snorkel. Came loose without too much prying. Probably about the same amount of force as the OEM plastic clips.
I did buy a new cowl as it was really warped and the seal was very cracked and brittle. You don't realize how crappy something looked until you've replaced it with new.
The windshield is not OEM and was shockingly thin....maybe 3/16 inch think. But it was $285 installed. SE, so not heated. I ordered the windshield with the triangular mirror mount (Rain sensor version) so that I could install a used HSE mirror with auto dimming and Homelink. The guys gave me the sensor for the rain sensors as they had an extra laying around in the toolbox. Probably won't be able to get that to work without an extra controller or programming. Connector/power for the autodimming mirrow was tucked up above the headliner.

Rajod, would should always let them take your vehicle out of the shop... on their premises, their insurance claim.

I agree, thought it was strange she gave me the keys and not offered to back it out. In hind site I should have said "No, I prefer you back it out"
