Default Need some Help

Daughter had a little accident this afternoon on the way to the beach.

A road kill vulture flew head on into her LR3 and destroyed the drivers side outside mirror. Like it (mirror housing) was ripped off of the pivot point. It separated from the bracket that is attached to the door. The only thing that holds the mirror housing is the wiring harness that controls the mirror adjustments.

Casulaties are the mirror which popped off and shattered on the road, the mirror housing which was ripped off at the hinge point, a few scratches where the housing banged against the door and of course the vulture. Imagine a bird flying directly into a vehicle traveling about 65 mph. Not a pretty sight.

So what's the problem?

I can't figure out how to disconnect the housing from the wiring harness. I can see three connectors inside and do not want to cut the cable. Removed a cover plate but can not figure how to go further.

Suggestions would be appreciated.
