I ordered a new brake booster as part of a brake upgrade on the V6. It is a new TRW however when I took it out of the box there was something rattling around inside and the plunger and geared washer were loose in the packaging.

After a whole lot of shaking it about I was able to get the loose piece out. It is a small button, I'm not certain where it should go our how the plunger/geared washer should be put together as the instruction don't mention it. It would appear the button would fit in the inner recess but when placed there it easily falls back out. Geared washer seems like it could fit on either side of the plunger base. Plunger itself does not stay in place when place in its holder so presume the washer has something to do with this. Should this have come assembled? Is this unit defective or am I missing a step.
