Default New plugs at 89k but new wires too?

My LR3 is running fine, I bought plugs just because its probably time.

Are the plug wires normally still ok to use?

And should I use anti seize on the plugs? Read some negative reports on that product causing people to over tighten the plugs. I've never used in on any cars or snowmobiles (aluminum) or boats and never had a issue getting plugs out.

There shouldn't be any need to replace ignition wires in cars that have the ignition coils directly attached to the spark plugs. This is a far cry from the days where you had a single distributor and you were sending very high voltages over those wires to the spark plugs. Now, each spark plug has it's down "distributor/ignition coil", so no high voltages are sent over the wires. Thus, as long as the coils are functioning, there is no need to replace them.

As far as anti-seize, I don't think there is a need for it. I doubt it would lead to problems because they're pretty low torque, but I don't think I would bother with it.

Ahh good, one less thing to deal with, thanks!

Looks like I have a bunch of plastic to take off just to get to the plugs. Anything else I need to do while I have it all apart? Like maybe spraying some engine cleaner on the throttle body intake?
