Default New Rims and pressure sensors

I'm going to be getting 4 19 inch rims for winter tires.

I got to thinking how does my LR3 know that the tire pressure is low?

Do I need to buy sensors too?

Thanks

Are the wheels you are getting from another land rover? If so they MIGHT already have the sensors in them. If not, you might need to get them. You can get them at amazon or rockauto

I bought a set of 18" wheels from craigslist and they didn't have the sensor, but my LR3 does, so I'll have to get some too, when I start using the wheels.

So its in the valve stem?

Do they normally come with rims? It looks like they are part of the tire and not the rim.

What do I look for on my current tires to see what one looks like?

Hard valve stems are the ones with sensors, rubber valves stems do not.

Anyone here good at searching for rims? I am looking for a set of basic 19" stock LR3 rims. The 6 spoke ones.

I can't seem to find any. They will need sensors too.

Thanks

I've got a set on my HSE. It's a lot cheaper to put tires on the 18" wheels so I was going to put my spare set of 10 spoke wheels on it.

Where are you and how much would you give for them?

In Michigan

Not sure on price. I just bought a spare 6 Spoke with a tire on it for 100.00 on ebay.

Yea 18" are harder to find. And yes tires are a little cheaper but Nokia makes 19" snows for them. Those are what I want.
