Sq98382, how did you know that my English was poor. Got it.

So I am going to take it to another mechanic for a second opinion.

I really thought that the cats were bad but I thought this would show up at around 40 mph not at lower speeds.

Thanks and I will update after the next mechanic looks at it.

Sorry for the confusion my response was directed at houm_wa, good luck with your project, it looks like there is a lot of knowledgeable help here, it's all a learning curve, in the man-machine interface.

I guess I saw it as more of an opportunity than a problem.

Just for further investigation I am attaching the codes from the last test.

P0506-24, P0016-00, P0018-00, P0622-00, P0171, P0172, P0174, P0175, P0316, P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303, P0304, P0305, P0306, P0307, P0308, P0101

Additionally, I have driven it twice, granted about 5 miles the first time and 4 miles the second with no problems. Did not get over 45 mph. Not sure if resetting the adaptive memory in the pcm means anything?

Thoughts?

I have started looking through the codes and just trying to determine if I should start with some injector cleaner? and maybe new plugs?

Thoughts or Recommendations?

Thanks.

Sq98382, just having a little fun. I do not take things all that seriously. I fully understand not wanting someone else's project sometimes. Been there done that.

bhermes, no harm, no foul, an interesting journey, for sure, at this point in that journey how would you describe your feelings toward this particular machine/car interface, the question I have is from my point of relativity, as a casual observer, the ROI ( return on investment ) is it worth it, psychologically, mentally, financially, time, inconvenience, etc, is it a "Sirens Song" or ... the best ride ever ... or both ... ?

Best Regards,
A prospective buyer

Just my experience

- I enjoy driving the vehicle, one of my favorites but no real reason
- A little prone to suspension type issues but overall I think generally a reliable car
- Only real issue is that things are a little expensive to have repaired, ok a lot.
- If you are a person that keeps up with routine maintenance then you will probably be fine or if you buy a used model try to make sure that person did

Just an update......

Drove to and from work yesterday, total of 8 miles.
Drove to work this morning

Still no real issues. I would say it is driving at about 90% normal.

Thanks

If I may....I think one's perspective on the LR3 and ownership thereof changes once you take it off-road.
