Default OBD2 Gone

I have just bought my 2006 lr3 SE V8. Recently I got a engine light pop up on my dash, which eventually shut off and I figured it was the gas cap because it turned off after I filled up again. The problem that arose from this is when I went to plug a code reader into my obd2 port. There was no obd2 port at all. I pulled a few panels off the dash area and looked around and still could not find it. Does anybody know how to rewire and obd2 into an lr3? Where I could buy one? Where the wires start at? Or what panels I should take off to get a better look?

I've looked by the steering column, on the passenger side next to the interior fuse box, and I have taken the head unit and the rest of the instrument panel out and looked in there. I had one of my coworkers look who has rewired a obd on a Tahoe and he said he could not see any trace of the wiring that should lead to the obd.

If you are sitting in the driver's seat, the OBD2 port should be aligned, roughly, with your left knee....and pretty far under the console. Might be best to really get your *** under there so that you are looking straight up at the underside of the console, head nearly by the brake pedal the first time...until you learn its location. I can't imagine that it doesn't have an OBD2 port. The odds are you're just looking in the wrong place and re-wiring is putting the carriage WAY in front of the horse!
