Opportunit to buy a very low mileage LR3; right move?
Hi - new to the forum so to start; thanks in advance for all the useful information I've gleamed so far and that to come.
I've got my radar out for an LR3 and have checked a few out. I won't be doing much off-roading, my main objective is to find a rig that won't have any trouble getting to the Rockies here in Canada during our winter months.
I've checked-out a few units, typically HSE's in the '06-07 model years, with 150-180k kms. Most have had the work done you'd expect (compressor, front suspension, a wheel bearing here or there, rear lift latch, etc.). I also posted a 'wanted' ad in the local classifieds and received a reply from a fellow that has an '06 SE V6 with 85k original kms, purchased from the original owner who kept it in and underground heated lot and essentially used it only for his surfing excursions to the coast. I took a look and found no leaks, squeals, or other faults - no warning lights and it drove well.
To get to my questions: Is it advisable to go with a clean unit like this and be proactive about the know issues, or a higher mileage (150-180k kms) unit that's had the work done?
Thanks for your input!
*apologies for the typo in the title.

I've had a 4.0 V6 for three years now and have only had to do regular maintenance, like disks and pads. Mine is now on 205kms. Do regular servicing and you cannot go wrong. The low mileage is a bonus. When I got mine I did plugs, brakes, coolant, and all oils including tranny so that I knew all was good. They can be thirsty if pushed hard.
