Default P0018 and Engine System Fault

I asked this before but it was somewhat hidden within another forum and have not heard any response, so hopefully, someone will be able to shed some light on this.

Soon after I purchased my LR3, the Check engine light came on- I had it reset, and then it came back on about a week later. The next day, it was off, then on, then off, and now back on for about 3 weeks. I had the code read and again it read P0018 (Crankshaft position and Cam shaft Position Correlation). Also, occasionally, when I first start the truck, I see the little 'i' with Engine System Fault next to it, but it usually goes off after a few minutes. Does this sounds like just a sensor or something further? If a sensor, which one? Camshaft? Crankshaft? Any suggestions/recommendations on changing them? Thanks!

Sorry- I should have mentioned.... V8. It seems to be running fine and gas mileage has been just over 15, which I believe it normal. And its a 2005.
