Programming 3rd button on remote
Has anybody programmed their third button on the remote to open the lift gate? I didn't even realize it was possible until I read about it over on the disco3 board (I thought it was just follow-me-home lights, air suspension, or... I can't remember what the third thing was). Anyway, when I program the remote, then press the third button, it releases the tailgate, but then it seems the tailgate catches on something (or only unlatches halfway), and I still have to manually release it by pushing the button under the handle. Just wondering if anybody has experienced this or if there is something wrong with my lift gate latch?

Well, that's too bad. It basically makes it useless. I can understand the lift gate not opening upwards on its own, but I would expect it to completely unlatch to the point where I could grab anywhere on the lift gate and pull up to raise it. If I have to actually press the button inside the handle anyway, there doesn't seem to be any point to using the remote.

yes, not much good
I have my third button programmed to turn on the headlights at night to find my 3 in a parking lot as it gets hidden by the pickups here.
I tried the rear unlatch feature and did not see much value in it either. The upper hatch remains arm strong powered, hence better you use the third button for other features.
You can always buy a Dodge Caravan if you want the power rear hatch up feature - good for baby strollers and the like - but then again, the off road is kind of a one way thing - hard to get it all.
