Default Proud Rhino Power Panel Install ?

Just installed a new Proud Rhino power panel. Hooked up a set of KC lights to one of the switches but I’m not getting the light on the switch to work. The Kc lights work great but the small light on the switch itself won’t illuminate. The switches are all 4-pin. I have the three wires from the relay hooked up correctly to the switch but there’s a single post on the back that I’m assuming is a ground for the light. Tried tapping into the ground from the cigarette lighter but it only lit up the lower slim light - even with the key removed, not the main light on the switch.

Hope I’m describing this well.

Looking for help to get the wiring correct.

Often times these types of switches requires a power from the battery for the light and one from your panel dimmer circuit for the other "little light. As I recall, these are usually 5 tab switches. yours may have an integrated ground. do a web search for wire hook up for your brands of switch and see if that fixes it.

Tht single post you describe may be for power from the dash lights

Hope this helps
Jeff

Thanks for the reply and help. I’ve spent more time than I probably should trying to look up the right wiring diagram. Either way, the switch is working and so are the lights but it’s certainly not the likely the “right” way. I also notice that power to the switch/lights is constant so I’m likely not wired up perfectly.

What brand of light switch is it? I may have a diagram that could help.

You may have it wire backwards. Try appling power until the "dash light" portion works in both on and off position. The check for power on the other tabs when moving from on and off. If wired right, you should have one 12 volt power that make the dash light work when you turn on the lights and a second light work when to put it into the on position.

It’s a 4-pin Carling switch.

any help would be great. I’m starting to wonder if having both the (+) 12v yellow wire and (+) 12v white wire running the (+) terminal on the battery is messing it up. Wiring schematic from KC is below.

Obviously I’m not using the supplied 3-prong switch from KC.

Yes that’s it, Rufflyer. I emailed Lucky8 and they said the rockers that should have come with the panel are MUD UK switches but the ones I received are CARLING 4-pin.
