Wiring Switch Panel for Lights/Accessories
Hey Rover Gang,
Its time to start adding rock lights, light bars, and back up lights to my 2000 D2. I was gonna make a custom switch panel to go where the dash cupholders were between the ash/coin trays, but I'm curious what ideas others have had about how to wire it up. I was thinking about doing an accessory fuse/relay block to place near the battery box so I can simplify the switch panel in the cab, but I'm not sure what one would be best to get or if there are enough spare locations that I can use the under hood fuse panel. What setups have you guys used for this sort of thing? Thinking 6-8 switch panel

I have a cheap amazon 6 switch pod (think switch pro but $150 not $500+) been happy with it but wish I had a 8 pod unit but I'll make a small set up and I 3d printed a piece to go where the ash/coin tray goes for 3 rocker switches.
^ What @whowa004 said, the cheap amazon 6 switch/relay boxes are pretty handy.
Ditch their little control box and just run those wires to the switches you want (I've been using carling style switches).
Box fits nicely in a lot of places in the engine bay, everything is all in one. You can add a rubber gasket if needed.
I've installed about 5 of them now in different trucks for people, been holding up fine to weekly abuse on trails in CO.
