Well you're pretty limited in that size. I think you can get Cooper Zeons, but look into the inside wall cracking issue and make sure it's been resolved first. Get the warranty at a minimum. I like BFG all terrains for an all-around tire but I don't believe they make a size that works with the 19" rims. Goodyear did make the MT/Rs in that size, I don't think they do anymore...and I don't know that they make MT/Rs w/ Kevlar in that size either.

I've run the Coopers and the MT/Rs (currently) in the 275/65R18 size when I go off-road. The Coopers were a HUGE step up in performance, and the MT/Rs another incremental step up. ...but there is a sacrifice in on-road handling. I run the 19" wheels too and on those I'm wearing out a set of Michelin Synchrones (about 70k miles on them now) and my next tires for those will be Nokians.

I've said too much! Hopefully there is an answer to your question in there somewhere...

You should think about getting 18" rims, there are more tire choices for that size rim and the tires are cheaper. I run the nitto terra grapplers 285-60-18. They are meaty looking tires and perform great, a little loud on highways though. When they wear out I think I will go with the coopers zeons ltz's. I hear they wear much better and are quieter on the road. Here's a pic of the nittos on my truck.

That's looks good. Yeah, I will probably bump down to the 18s. My biggest fear is being out in death valley and getting stuck by myself... so ill sacrifice some noise for added traction to get me home.

I found an almost new set of MT/Rs in 255/55/19 mid-last year and mounted them onto another set of 6-spoke 19" wheels and I've loved them. My only fear is when they wear out I won't be able to get another set. Sucks they stopped making them.
