I was board and looking at expedition americas instagram story and pulled the cover off the engine to check this bleed valve that comes off the water outlet to the cylinder head.
I notice the bleed valve was in good condition thanks for the tip Expedition America
I also notice that the hose is really loose and not secured to anything. I also figured this is because the hose is in the wrong location after looking at other LR3 4.4 engines.
Does this matter? Is this an easy fix. I don't do much heavy work myself. I take to Beach Cities Rover in Redondo Beach, CA. Really great guys so far.
I have only had the LR3 for almost 2 years. My experience is limited under the bonnet. I am using this time at home to hopefully learn more. Thanks for your help. I will post photos.
That fitting often looks nice until it leaves you stranded. I would replace it since it appears original or replaced with an OEM part. Then you can re-route the hose as you wish. I never did like the those though, it just sorta sits there loose no matter where you put it.
