Default Radio/GPS issues

Hey all, 2006 LR3, does anyone know if the GPS drives the radio or if the radio drives the GPS. Both take time to turn on "some" times however the radio is not responding to any buttons being pushed. Stuck on one station and nothing changes although it has changed on its own to a different station. Did the whole battery disconnect thing and any other trick I could think of but still not responding. I don't use GPS but it seems to work whenever it's "on". If Radio is the lead power may want to get another radio whether GPS works or not I don't really care. Just want music.....Any advice much appreciated...........

I have no clue what you are asking. The GPS works with the navigation system, it has nothing to do with the radio.

Default Here is what I know about power to the radio

The wiring diagram pages 146 thru 155 show the high line radio option.

You can follow along if you want, but it seems that it is NON switched power and switched power.

BUT if you are interested in where the power does go (so you can check each piece of equipment)
Here is how it flows:

Positive terminal
OUT - C0192-1 (Connector 0192 pin 1) red wire

Battery Junction box
IN - C0632-1 red wire
Link 18E (50 amp)
OUT- C0570-186 brown and grey wire

Central Junction box
IN- C0583-22 Brown and grey wire
inside the CFB it splits to
FUSE 42P -OUT- C0582-22 red wire to amplifier-power-ICE
FUSE 52P -OUT- C0582-41 red wire out to telephone control unit
FUSE 53P- OUT- C0582-38 purple/blue wire to junction SJ131 then audio control unit
FUSE 56P-OUT- C0582-13 blue wire to SJ998 then other things
Relay R249- OUT to FUZE 56P-C0582-13 blue wire to Junction SJ998 and to
FUSE 62P-OUT- C0582-8 red wire to C2443-12/C24444-12 then a brown wire to ???
Relay Solenoid - OUT C0582-34 red and purple wire to Audio head unit C0582-34 ( for control)

Junction SJ998 (all blue wires)
1 lead goes to touchscreen C2819-1
1 lead goes to module-multi-media C2144-18
1 lead goes to TV tuner module C2117-1
1 lead goes to telephone control module C2777-16
1 lead goes to DAB antenna amplifier C2671-1

Junction SJ131 (all purple wires)
1 lead goes to the audio head C1354-11
1 lead goes to Module-Multi-Media C2114-17
1 lead goes to Touch Screen C2819-11

It looks like power goes into the CJB, out to the audio head unit (always on) then the control head controls relay R249 that adds power to SJ 998 which then powers all the other things listed on JS998.
Power is also always on to the Amplifier and telephone units

Hope this helps more than it confuses

Jeff
