Default Radio Volume...Water?

Long story short...

06 LR3HSE. Radio volume works 20% of the time. Comes on randomly. When it's not working, it's almost like the radio doesn't even recognize the **** - it doesn't say "Audio Volume" when turned. I can turn the **** freely and no volume numbers even show up.

Pooling water in passenger footwell. I have replaced passenger sunroof drain, warped windshield cowl and blew out both AC drains. It's drying out slowly and doesn't seem to be accumulating more water.

Question...could the water be affecting my intermittent volume issue or does that sound amp or software related?

It could be either the amp or the radio. The fact that it’s not responding to the volume **** though makes me think its the radio itself. Does using the steering wheel controls get it to work?

No, the steering wheel controls or volume **** have zero effect.

Default Update

Fyi, it was the water/moisture from the leaking AC drain on passenger side. I fixed it and got it dried out and radio has worked ever since.
