ride height intermittently squats.
recently purchased a 2006 LR3 for a project but cant get past my ride height issue.
story starts with vehicle randomly wanting to squat.
i check for air leaks overnight in off-road and normal height modes. checking in the morning for suspension drop. no drop overnight.
continued with the assumption that my fault was electrical.
my codes were for both front ride height sensors. -. checked harness from sensors connectors to ride height module.
found a 500mv drop on passengers side where someone had previously repaired sensor harness. got friend to calibrate after.
took out for a spin. had suspension failure warning coming back.
rechecked harnesses found intermittent connection on drivers side harness again where previous repair had been made. repaired drivers side harness. had friend calibrate again afterward.
took out for a spin: when in extended mode. i get suspension fault warning. vehicle drops to bags i need to pull over cycle ignition and bring bags back up to get home. i read a performance fault for both front sensors.
continued checking
-power supply 5v at sensors. good.
-lubed sensor arm joints/links
-check sensors for siezing
-checked air bags date 2015 fairly new
-checked air bags for fluid inside: none.
-recite from previous owner for oem Land rover sensors 2016, calibration and ****ty harness repairs that didn't hold up
looking for some advice on where to go. don't have much experience with air ride. should i replace the height sensors and calibrate again ???
anyone got any links to more information?
i will get the fault codes Monday when i am back home.

"took it out for a spin in Extended Mode"? "Vehicle drops to bags"? There is a speed limit in extended mode that'll drop it to normal height when the threshold is met, but shouldn't hit the bumpstops if that's what you meant. I've had mine go to a suspension fault when turning off a asphalt road that was crowned at the opposite fog line and dropped down on to a dirt road like it couldn't handle the body roll. Once on the level, cycled the ignition and all was ok.
Curious 5280, are you running any kind of lift? (rods, IIDTool, etc) and were you in Extended Height or any modified/lifted height at that time? Sounds like it could have been an infamous "Out Of Range" fault. This happens when a vehicle lifted just a tiny bit too much goes to Super Extended Height, as that level of lift is not above what the EAS allows. This used to happen to me, until I calibrated my IIDTool-borne off-road height just right.
Nope. Not in extended mode or rods installed. I was driving roughly 40mph up to the intersection, slowed almost to a stop as traffic coming from the opposite direction is from a blind corner. Turned left and scooted over the edge of the asphalt road dropping onto the dirt road. About 20 feet further... "ding" and the dash lights lit up and started deflating the bags as it did when the suspension was out of calibration. That being said, I calibrated the suspension last September -ish with my GAP IID tool by the quick n dirty method of measuring from the center caps on the wheel to the lips of the wheel openings. Hadn't had any issues until this event and nothing since. Maybe I need to spend a little more time with the calibration. I plan on taking the LR3 to the Ouray/Telluride area this September to run the high mountain passes which are mostly 4wd and a fair amount of off camber stuff. I don't want to be messing with it then.
Sorry OP for the hijack...

No worries on the high jack. we all got issues. lol
Update to my LR3 squats in extending mode intermidently:
-apologies forgetting those obd codes.
-installed front sensors and re-check wiring->wiring ok, I calibrated after installed both front sensors.
About a week of driving and out of no where suspension fault has returned. Any recommendations?
