Default Roof Rack help...

Looking to get a roof rack for my LR3,
I have found a couple of factory ones used for around 900 shipped to me.
Also looking at the standard or contractor voyager roof racks.

Anyone has experience with those 2?
Which one should i go with
They will cost about the same
One used the other built to order.

Love to hear some opinions.
Thanks

I have a front runner rack and It has been great for me. The only problem with buying a genuine rack is accessories for the rack are hard to find and very expensive. Like shovel holder, spare tire mount, light mounts ect. If it were me I would get something other than a oem rack unless it was a really good deal.

Whatever u get be sure all the mounts are included, unless u can buy em seperate a factory rack without mounts is useless

If u can buy the mounts I expect they are not cheap , just throwing that out there since I see em for sale that way used sometimes

Go voyager - Contractor.. you will be happy with that, cant justify paying the same price for a oem rover one made out of plastic... oh the ship time was twice as long... for me at least.

Love my voyager rack! Hands down our recommend it

Got a FR rack, really like it. There are a few add on items but they do have a $$ price. I fabricated my shovel and ax holder. Got a Baja septor can holder and drilled new holes to fit the FR rack, repaint and put it on, no big deal.
Sometimes you have to be a bit inventive to get what you want.
FR rack holds all my camping items but the extra weight up top makes for a bit of a change to the COG and you need to be aware of it.
I bought the FR spare tire carrier but them got a Tactical 4X rear bumper with swing away tire carrier and never used it, still in the box...it's for sale.

FWIW Baja racks are nice too. Hold lots of weight, OK wind noise
