So it can be inspected and registered ? i don't see any issue.

I thought I would give an update on my salvage title. I ended up suing the owner of the LR3 in small claims court. I had to sue the guy's daughter because it was in her name. He completely ignored me until I was able to serve his daughter. Then I got a phone call from his attorney. We ended up settling for $2500 and not going to court. When I told his lawyer that he never returned any of my calls or messages over two months and I was willing to work something out he realized his client didn't tell him everthing. If I know anything, Judges don't like people who don't communicate. I was asking for $3500 so I feel I did just fine getting the $2500. It was more about getting the seller to feel some pain than the money. He really didn't like the fact I went after his daughter. You may ask yourself why bother? The main season is he told me that he had all this stuff that came with the rig and he would get me all of it when he returned. This is a very custom LR3 and I thought he was going to help out showing me all the goodies to the rig. So when he dropped communication (right after he got paid) with me I didn't feel that it was the right thing to do on his part. So I proceeded to court. In the end, I would have wished he was just an upfront person.

I agree, not really sure how it would have gone if it went to court.

Yes, but in calif, a salvaged title can still be "rebuilt" if it can be made road worthy, then once inspection passes by the proper outfits ; DMV or CHP and SMOG, it can be insured, (but usually only liability) registered and legally put back on the road,
albeit, always under a "rebuilt" title
