Default Selling LR3, but for how much?

Been awhile since I've been on here, good to see names I still recognize and glad to see members still loving there rigs.

Question open for feedback, please. What's the rig and or its mods worth?

I have a highly modified 2006 LR3 HSE with the HD package, about 123,000 miles on the clock and its fully loaded from the factory, Clean CarFax etc.

I'm trying to get an idea on what I might try to re-coup on the mods? I know its nowhere near to 100% but is it half or something like that? I know not everyone likes mods and that the maintenance and preventative maintenance I've done count for little. Also have a bunch of Accessories and spare parts.

In a nutshell I have over $20k in Mods, parts prices only, near to the same in accessories and maintenance. I have attached a full breakdown on the rig in PDF, plus a few photos in PDF. The full list of photos are posted on smug mug at http://jzlr3.smugmug.com/browse.

Appreciate any thoughts on what I might charge for the rig or even just the mods and etc. I have the KBB and NADA pricings already but its got to be more than that... :O

Cheers

I have to be honest, I have never seen a 10 page document for a used vehicle! I believe you are going to be disappointed when you price your vehicle. It is a nice looking rig with a lot of upgrades, however it is not flawless. Mentioning repairs that were done long ago (ex. t-case at 60k) aren't relevant to asking price and I am not sure why they are listed, as those are repairs that must be done to sell the truck (or keep on road). All in all, I think the 16k in maintenance is part of owning the truck and not working on it yourself. In my areas a truck with the dings etc of yours and with the interior condition and miles goes for about 11-13k, so maybe figure in 2k for the bumpers etc and you might get 15k. There is always the chance that you'll find an uneducated buyer that will overpay I guess. If you are looking for someone to give you an inflated value, I will say this is not the right place.

Thanks for replying Taylor15,

I hear ya and have the same concerns. Appreciate the feedback. I'll be listing it today, some of the overland guys ask to know about maintenance and etc. Hopefully it shows that there are no major concerns as some of the big items have been recently taken care of. I saw an HSE, same year go for $21k, though less miles and no HD package and a lot less mods and accessories, parts etc. So I'll list it and see what the interest level is.

Thanks again and cheers,

While I hear what's being said about listing repairs that were done long ago, it may not hurt to give the data anyway. You're giving the soon-to-be new owner a documented history of the truck. Can't ever hurt. What might happen to the truck after it's sold might help new owner keep the truck alive longer, knowing traceable history.

Just my $.02.

JZ, curious why you're selling it after putting so much into it?

Beyonce making you get rid of it?

Lol, you know she is excited to have more space in the garage, smiled when she saw me boxing everything up. Plus she would rather see me putting money into the college fund. She likes the BMW better, Ouch!!! I like the rover its a great rig, plus damn near where I want it to be kit wise. Guess she is putting the kybosh on my over-landing plans.

Thing is I managed to get myself into a financial pickle and have no real choice, I'll have to recover and start again, bet she has not thought of that

Cheers,
