Selling my 2008 LR3 170k miles
Wanting to sell my LR3 to a Landrover enthusiast who would want to invest in fixing it up. There are several issues, including a gas cap sensor, jammed back gate, and the spare tire mechanism that’s broken. Any advice or should I try to just trade it in at a dealership?
IMO, a private sale is the best way to go with the LR3s. Not sure if the recent market has changed that at all but that’s been my experience in the last several years.
Where is the car located? Is the car running or would it need to be towed?
Best of luck.

I am around Boulder, CO.
The truck runs great!
I need a commuter car these days and don’t want to spend the money fixing all these little things.
In fact, it just passed emissions today, proving the gas cap sensor issue is just a sensor issue. It causes the check engine light to be on.
I’d love to get $5K for it, but that may be a long shot. Any advice on where to post the sale?

Put a bunch of fliers up around CU - maybe a student ( and their parents) would want to buy it?. Is there a local mechanic you've worked with? I know Flatirons is nearby but thats definitely going to be pricier to fix those issues. ( assuming that if a student bought it - they're not going to do the work and would need a mechanic)
