Default Shaking When Warm Even at Lower Speeds

2007 LR3 HSE

As I have read so many different posts/threads on this topic, I have yet to find the exact symptoms I’m experiencing with my vehicle, so I decided to describe my own situation.

basically, after the vehicle warms up, I have quite a bit of steering wheel shaking, which seems to get progressively worse. When the issue began, it seemed like it was primarily as I approached 40 MPH. A couple days later, now it even happens at a much lower speed. No shaking whatsoever before the vehicle warms up at the beginning of every drive. I wouldn’t say it completely stops upon deceleration, but it’s certainly seems worse when accelerating. Originally, when purchasing the car, I had a similar issue Which ended up being uneven tire wear. Since then, it’s been perfect.

recently, after a semi truck decided to block me in a parking spot while at gas station, apparently I made a bad choice in slowly and carefully driving over median/curb. Making the 40 minute drive home after this I had no problems. The next day driving into town, the issue began. I was actually so excited because as soon as I got underneath, I nearly immediately noticed that the sway bar link was completely detached. I thought I got extremely lucky, replaced it, and unfortunately did not solve the issue.

Ive been so prideful with my vehicle being so smooth virtually at any speed and it’s just so disappointing that I have essentially caused this problem based on my own decision. I appreciate any assistance that might help me resolve this. Thank you in advance!

You need to do more recon on this. Iy could be anything from a failing CV axle to brakes or even wheel bearings. I would get the vehicle up off the ground and check every wheel for play at top to bottom and side to side. Check for tie rod play, brakes dragging, bearings, etc. If you have a brake caliper dragging that one wheel will generally got pretty hot compared to the others. But until you inspect everything it will just be a guessing game.
