should I buy LR3
Rather than order a new compressor and then having to have the software reprogrammed, I found a compressor out of a 2011 LR4. It is the old style Hitachi style so it won't require the software reprogramming. I got it for $150 delivered. For that price it was worth the risk. Should be here today and I plan on installing it this weekend. Can't wait to put the LR3 through its paces. I also have a rear parking sensor issue. Sometimes when I put the truck into reverse, I get a sensor tone. Other times it will only sound when I am in proximity of an obstruction. After reading up, it sounds like I may have a bad sensor. Is there an easy way to troubleshoot other than to put it in reverse and then listen to each of the sensors for a buzzing or clicking sound. No clicking means that that is the bad sensor. Also, are the sensors just plug and play? thanks Phil
...seems like mine's always done that. I can't validate this now but my hunch is that you get the tone if you put it in reverse while within proximity of an object behind you. If you put it in reverse out in the open you get no tone.
thanks, I will order the parts up tomorrow and get after next weekend. This truck rides great. It looks like it just came out of the showroom expect for some bleached wheel center caps. Evidently somebody used the wrong wheel cleaner. I think that I have a few sets from my DII days. Amazing vehicle, $9000 grand, this is unreal. I paid that much for my son's 04 4runner with 135k miles on it. It isn't half the truck that this is, although it is pretty trouble free. Where exactly is the exhaust valve? Does anyone have a photo or do the parts come with instructions? thanks, Phil
