Question Steering and Humming Issues

I've got a 2006 LR3 absolutely beautiful truck and have come up on a few issues. (1) The steering is the most sensitive thing I've ever driven to the point if you turn too fast when going into a curve it feels as if it will actually flip the truck! And even puling out to pass is a little puckering factor as well . (2) There's also a roaring/humming noise coming from the front end. I thought it was possibly the front-end itself as I have replaced both wheel bearings in the last 6 months, but when you turn the steering ever so slightly to the right the humming/roaring stops! Could this actually be a new wheel bearing going bad that quickly ( I bought the most expensive bearings with lifetime warranty just so I would never have to replace them again....at least I thought).

Any input on these issues from experience will be grately appreciated as throwing money at these things can get very costly very quickly!

Thanks

Sounds like something is wrong up front because the steering on the LR3 is tight with a lot of feedback, in my opinion. Not sensitive, which is the way I like it. I have two of them, and they both steer the same. That said, I'd check on the health of all your suspension and steering components. Worn ball joints, tie-rods, bushings, etc can affect the steering. The steering shaft itself require a lube eventually (even replacement) and that groaning sound you speak of....could be the front diff. Does it change with throttle input? Is it at certain speeds?

I will definitely be going over ball joints and tie rods very closely!! Thanks

Also the humming noise is from to start to any speed except if you turn the steering wheel even just to pass it stops for the few seconds the wheel is turned and then starts back as soon as the wheels are straight again.

1 - alignment issue probbaly

2 - Could be the bearings if they were not torqued to spec properly and loaded right. Also a bad alignment can eat up bearings.
