Default Swingaway Tire Options for LR3

So I've recently come to terms with the fact that my 265/70/r18 spare will not fit under in the stock spare location. However, I absolutely refuse to shell out $1700 for a tactical rovers swingaway bumper. (No reflection on their bumper, I'm sure it's great and very well made but I just don't need a steel rear bumper). I've seen the Voyager Racks swingaway mount, seems like what I want but at $800 it still seems pretty expensive for some welded box extrusion. I've also seen the Kaymar units, they seem like exactly what I want but I can't seem to find a distributor stateside. Has anyone used a swingaway mount from a Jeep or similar? I'm sure they're much more plentiful (and cheaper) than those made for Rovers.

DIY. Weld spindle into your bumper and tire carrier onto spindle.

Its not terribly cheap to make a small Nicke product. But if you are handy you can probably modify or produce your own. Keep in mind nothing will be a direct fit. The bumper, like in this thread, may have to be reinforced. Its not design to have all that weight flexing on it.

Agreed the factory bumper under the cover is no match for a spare tire carrier without some well thought out reinforcements to take the stress that all that weight will put on it bouncing down the trail

Shipping might make it prohibitive but check this out anyway -
