I did. Bone dry on both sides now. New drains all around. Put back together aaaand while I was I was planning to take the day off work tomorrow and take a short road trip to knock the con webs off, I think I got a bad brake switch. I mean the lights work without any issue, did with the old one too, but I致e got this error below which I assume is setting off the rest of the U codes. I reviewed my scan emails and the same brake switch codes were only present back in Jan of 2024. When the HDC would flip out on me I would do a scan and email it to myself. So I had some records.

if anyone could help me try and figure out what is going on with this now I would be very grateful, more so than I already am for the support yall have given. I値l be posting some pictures of the tube work and what I致e done to help folks who have issues in the future. I致e fixed ALOT but there seems to be one last thing standing in the way.

I知 gonna call autozone in the morning and see how fast they can have a brake switch in. I ordered this one from Amazon and it was cheap third party one, jokes on me I guess.

One more thought because I didn稚 have this issue before I took everything apart. Even from the Gap tool, height selection doesn稚 seem to be responsive. I can hit the up leaver and it will ding at me, but won稚 do anything.

There is another one in town, debating about going and getting it...

UPDATE:

So I did end up getting the other brake light switch from across town. I put power to the vehicle with no brake light switch attached. Cleared the codes.
And I am assuming this is what I did to screw up the process because this is what I have done on brake light switches for other vehicles, but if you look at all the videos of people replacing them... I noticed that they uhh.. don't depress the brake pedal.
So I was putting it in an error state because I was pressing down the pedal when I was installing the brake light switch, but when you twist it, the rod extends and calibrates the distance...
This revelation hit me at the kitchen table last night when I remembered a guy on YouTube lamenting about how needlessly complicated it was and how it was something he would expect from German vehicles, but not a Ford Motor Company Switch.
My guess is it was a remnant of the BMW Ownership before it was sold to Ford.

My only remaining codes seem to be my fault because I tried to get the console module open to fix the down height selector and it got knocked off my workbench somehow. New one will be arriving early next week.

Yeah i saw that mentioned when i replaced my switch years ago, its about as simple as you can get to replace. Unplug the cable twist clockwise to unlock, anti-clockwise to lock, plug in the connector and off you go.

So I am scratching my head on this one and I am going to go back and check my work maybe tomorrow, I haven't decided just yet. I can start it with my foot on the brake, but the second I completely let the circuit flip back over, error codes pop up. I tested this several times and actually held down the plunger and was able to drive completely unhindered. I know there is a set of three red wires, two from the front and one from the rear which corrode and need to be attached, I cut strip soldered and shrink wrapped all the wires as well as the set of green which were in a similar state. There were a few more that were just wrapped in tape, but those were the only ones that were just laying loose in the wire channel. Beyond going back and checking that three (3) wire splice, is there another location that I can check which might show some promise? I pulled up the live values to make sure that it's showing that the switch is being engage and you can see the screenshots where it is going from active to inactive when I let the brake go.

Its imperative that you dont touch the switch plunger before or during fitting as it needs to calibrate.

Right, do you think maybe I have not got it installed properly? I remember reading some folks would turn it until it clicks, but while it's firmly locked in, I don't recall hearing a click.
Probably a dumb question but do I need to do anything special beyond clearing codes for a reinstallation if I remove it and attempt to reseat it? I don't believe this one is bad as initially the brake light switch codes weren't there, but since I had done a vehicle reset they have come back. If I start with my foot on the break, I can put it in gear and drive as long as the switch stays depressed, but the second it goes to the completely disengage, which is the mount point or top dead center for lack of a different phrase... the codes kick in for the brake switch and VDC codes follow. It's just once the circuit reaches that 'open' state that it trips the codes. All of the brake lights work fine too, no flickering or anything.

No it will just work once replaced, it seems like its still presenting as faulty. I know when mine went it would fault as soon as i touched the pedal.
From memory once you fit the switch on its first stroke the plunger will adjust to its correct position.

So I am grasping at straws at the moment, I haven't been able to tear into the loom on the passenger side again just yet. I am planning to get to that this weekend unless someone else has a better idea at this point. I have gone through five brake light switches at this point. My one (1) that I started with, the Amazon one (1) and three (3) from Autozone... all of which present the same symptoms. During the key on System Test, P0504-64 (2A) & P0504-64 (2A) which sets off the VDC and causes a flag on Suspension, Transmission and Terrain Response... UNLESS, I start the truck with the brake held down, then I can move it as long as that plunger stays pressed. The second you let the brake lights go out by letting the plunger go, it kicks on all the codes as shown below.

Just want to clarify that all three (3) brake lights have always worked and before I parked it due to the water pouring in, I didn't have this issue whatsoever.

I will get around to posting my fixes for the front and rear hoses very soon as well as uploading the 3d printed grommet I designed to run regular vinyl hose on the rear drains with an adapter. Both of the rear drain hoses were just dumping water into the loom channels and the passenger side front was stopped up entirely. There is no chance of the driver side front ever backing up into the cabin, it's siliconed to DEATH.

Short of tearing back into the loom and making sure there are no other breaks or that maybe something didn't get snapped when I put it back together, which I will be doing this weekend... any suggestions?
