Thud noise

Thud noise
So yesterday my 3 started to make multiple thud noises when turning. It's hard to explain the noise but it's multiple thuds when turning, it kinda sounds like the wheel well is hitting the tire but there are no signs of that happening. I was thinking it could possibly be the cv shaft but I was wondering what you guys thought. Also it doesn't happen all of the time. Thank you in advance!

I guess it sounds more like a clunk. It shakes the whole vehicle and it is worse in reverse, there is no noise when the wheel is straight. A buddy of mine looked at it and we can't figure out where it is coming from. He thinks it could be the transfer case. My lr3 has 128k miles and the fluid was changed at 95k miles.

Go to a reputable shop and have them check your suspension bushings... these trucks are heavy and start chewing though bushings around your (and mine's) odometer mark. Good new is there are lots of choices out there for replacing the entire arm or with just the bushings.
Could be your CV though... again a reputable shop (doesn't have to know Land Rovers) can diagnose failing systems that are common to all vehicles... then you decide where you want the work done.
