Default Tire Size Change

Hello,

I just changed my tires from size 255/60R18 to 285/60R18. Shortly after the change I noticed that my 2006 LR3's suspension will not go to the low setting but it will still rise. Has anyone else had the same issue or do you think the issue is not related to the tire size change. I haven't lifted or lowered the suspension for a few months but the last time I did it worked fine.

Thanks,

Chris

Those seem to be be pretty large tires for stock height. Do you have any lift on it? Just theorizing here, but you may have some interference somewhere.

I too have an '06 and upgraded my tires to 285/60R18's but don't have a problem going into Access mode. My assumption is that if you were attempting to lower the vehicle and it encountered a hard stop somewhere, it will then go to super-extended mode.

Anything show up in the command center on the dash when trying to put it in Access mode? I wonder if you need to take it somewhere to see if you have any fault codes.

I got a used 06 LR3 that came with 285/60R18, no lift. No problem so far.

It may be your switch. The only issues that I know of with that tire is the left front tire height sensor wiring that needs to be relocated due to tire width. I picked up a fault and had to rewire that wiring. Also, there will be minor wear in front of rear wheel well. It doesn't sound like a tire related issue, though.
