Tire Upsize 2005 LR3
I just went through this haha. www.johnsonrods.com will give you all the info you need on that.
I'm about to do the 2.5 lift with 255/65/19 (32's) tires, which is the biggest you can really go with my stock 19 rims.

Best? or Biggest?
I could argue that 265/60R18 is the "best" because:
- there are many more tire choices in 18s than 19s
- you have a bit more sidewall than stock
- the spare still fits in the stock location
- your MPG will not suffer
- you will not rub, or be immobilized on bump stops if your bags fail

Agree with Doug, 265/60/18 is the ideal alround size for a stock vehicle. If you plan to carry a portable compressor then 265/65/18 would be the next choice, if you are happy to fit a wheel carrier of carry the spare on the roof or in the rear then 275/65/18 would be the biggest without doing any mods. You'll still want a lift be it electronic or via rods, get a GAP tool and that will allow you to alter the heights and read/clear codes and edit the vehicle's CCF.
I have a 265/65/18 fitted in the standard undermount spare compartment however, the plastic exhaust valence (or whatever that is) is completely removed and the spare is deflated in order to fit. I have a cheap 12v electric air pump in the back.
