Towing Airstream with Discovery-Tow Assist
I have been trying to configure the tow assist profile on my 2019 discovery for my Airstream trailer. I have two issues I'm hoping someone can answer.
1. Do I need to configure the Tow assist profile in order to get the towing benefit from the rear suspension adjustment etc when driving FORWARD? Or is the tow assist configuration only for the backing assist when in REVERSE.
2. Has anyone figured out how to calibrate and use the tow assist/advanced tow assist with that goofy three dot sticker on an Airstream trailer? The issue is that the LP tanks and shroud on the Airstream are too close to the rear of the Discovery and placing the sticker on that shroud will not allow configuration. As a footnote, I find it pretty entertaining that LR spent $ millions developing the advanced tow assist system, and more on advertisements showing how sensational it is featuring an AIRSTREAM, yet there's not a dealership that understands it, or can give a fact based answer to my questions above.
