Default trailer lights

hello,
I am new here and just bought a 06 LR3 about 6 months ago. I have installed the factory trailer harness and hitch, but when I hooked up to my boat last weekend the lights were blinking at about half power in the hazard flasher pattern. They were steady and constant, just real low. Everything else worked great and at full power. just wondered if this was a safety deal where it helps your trailer be seen or a grounding issue. I really didnt think grounding due to the way it flashed, it is not anall over the place type of flash, like I said it is just like the hazards are on just at very low power. by the way the lights are LED if that matters. thanks for any help!

yes, the led's in the trailer cause the lighting system in the lr3 to malfunction.
put this in google serch "lr3 led trailer light problem" loots of people are having this problem.
at this point the only work around is to replace the led's
sorry...

just make sure your lights are turned on and it will be less noticable when driving there is a part to stop it but pricy.

Thanks for the help. I see that it's a problem with the trailer lights (LED) not being grounded. I will try to get that problem solved. Its not such a bad thing to have that flashing light behind me when pulling such a big boat when you cant see the LR from the back. Thanks again!!

its not a ground issue... its that the way the flashers flash is based on current draw, now that you have leds wired in, theres a path for the current to go that has far less resistance then the bulbs in your tail lights, so they do, and less current goes to the bulbs... what you need to do to fix it is get some dummy loads to wire in, as far as electricity goes, youll have real bulbs back there and everything will work fine.
