Default transmission

I am getting an transmission fault. stop with care. hdc system unavailable. But sometimes I can move my traction **** around and it wont say anything about it. Could I have a short or is that something serious?

most likely a short at the transmission connector or the shifter is stiff from the bushing on the transmission or something else. but with the stop with care message I would bring it in to get the exact codes read.

Do not put off having this looked at, depending on what is wrong it could just keep getting more expensive as you drive.

I heard something about the battery starting to die that would lead to the cause of the hdc unavailable code.
