Default Transmission cooling line

The connection (lower) of my Trans cooling line to the lower radiator is leaking/seeping. The hose clamp is stripped and I cannot tighten it.
What I would like to do is cut an inch off the hose and refit with a new clamp.
Can anyone tell me if there is oil in the hose at connection if the car is cold?

I just took the upper hose off yesterday and there was very little fluid that came out, but that's probably because it was the highest point of the system. I would have to assume that at the very least, you would lose all of the fluid that is in the radiator at the time you undo the hose. You can typically use a 7mm socket head or a flat head screwdriver on those clamps. Are you saying that both are stripped?

Thanks cmb6s. Upper hose is fine, just the lower clamp is stripped (wont tighten). However, just yesterday, I was able to get the clamp undone enough so I could slide it out of the way, and replace it with a new hose clamp. So far it looks to have done the job.
From what the lower clamp looked like, I thought it was integral to the hose itself. It isn't. It just has a rubber sleeve overtop of the clamp to keep it in place during install.
One question: Is the oil/coolant going through the radiator the actual tranny fluid? Of 2 different systems?

Correct. The clamp just goes through a little rubber sleeve, so you can undo it, but can't loosen it and slide it down the hose. Yes, the transmission fluid is sent through it's own chamber in the radiator. So, instead of having a separate transmission cooler, the cooler is integrated into the radiator. Coolant and tranny fluid each occupy their own space in the radiator and obviously do not mix. Transmission fluid is pumped from transmission via the lower feed line into the radiator where it is cooled, then returned to the transmission via the upper return hose.
