Default Transmission fault

My LR3 doesn't want to start from time to time and tonight a large F appeared on my dash beside my mileage and none of the off road modes were working. Can anyone tell me what is going on?

many things can be wrong at this point, does it crank over or it doesnt even do that? let me list you the quick things you can look at. possible fluid spill by the shifter and corrodes the shifter connector. possible battery leak/explosion caused tbox module to short or water damage. those are the most commen areas i have ran into

The alarm has been going off just about everytime you lock the doors and walk away. Also lights sometimes blink numerous times when I lock the doors. I am thinking maybe it just needs a new battery. Maybe losing connection or something. The car fired up this morning with no problems, but all these things seem to be happening quite often. Don't really have a clue.

And yes Geaux TIGERS!!!!'

A new battery chases away a lot of gremlins. Cheaper than have the dealership valet park the truck before the tech specialist even glances at it....

So I go to the local auto parts store to purchase a battery and they tell me that the computer may need to be reset after changing it. Is this true or not?
