We're going to start providing new stats for the odds of requiring no repairs and the odds of getting a lemon. These require larger sample sizes, so additional participants would be helpful.

I'd like to bump this thread just incase so more people can see it. I do not own an LR3 yet, but the reliability data on truedelta is very nice for making car comparisons.

 

Signed my LR3 up so she can participate. Had her since Jun09 with no problems, but tires. I had to replace the OE GY Wranglers at 24,310 miles as they were unsafe.

I went up on the tire size and found a deal, so that problem is solved.

We have updated results for the LR3 to include owner experiences through September 30, 2009. In terms of successful repair trips per 100 cars per year:

2006: 140

2005: 130

BOth are worse than average. Small sample size for the 2005.

Everyone who has been helping, thanks once again. We'll have further updates in February and May. With more participants, we could provide more precise information and cover all model years.

Some of them. We actually have a good number of 2005 and 2006 owners signed up. But the response rate for LR3 owners is lower than average.

Anyway, we'll have updated results this month for the 2005 and 2006. Additional participants remain needed for these years and especially for 2007 and up.
