Default Use RHD passenger seat as LHD driver seat.

Hi,

In our LHD 2005 LR3, the driver's seat is -kind of getting- in need of replacement after many many kilometers. I regularly find RHD passenger seats abroad in excellent condition and wondered if I can install them in our car. If it is not possible to install the complete chair, I would like to know if it is possible to exchange only the cushions?

I could not find the answer to this question in the forum, but I also cannot imagine that we are the only one with this problem. Your input is therefore very much appreciated.

Many thanks in advance.

Bert

I believe (but this should be verified) that you can use the cushions interchangeably....but the seat as a whole maybe not since the controls for the seat adjustment would be inboard instead of outboard and that would make them difficult to use with the center console monument in the way. I'm not sure if there bolt pattern is symmetrical, either. It should be....that would be a good design practice, but I have just never checked.

Cushions and armrest, that's basically all I need. I think I will order a seat from the UK and take the risk.

I have read that the squabs are the same so swapping is possible.
