Default useless website

I hate to be an *** but I have spent the past 2 days scouring this website for what I woluld think is simple information concerning a faulty code...P0170 to be exact. I could not find one bit of useful information instead what I found was general/generic BS information I could have googled. If the administrator can't post useful information such DIY's that I have seen on other car forum's websites such as BMW then shut it down and stop wasting people's time including yours. **** you can't even find a forum to search for replacement parts !!!!!!

agreed this forum needs work, have you tried,

http://www.landroversonly.com forums seem better,

i am not yet an owner but have been looking through the sites for tips and experience, having a place to ask questions and get the right answers or search feedback is important. i am looking myself for that place.

You need to search for the LR workshop manual (RAVE CD) and download it for your year/model... Then you should have all the info you need. Also you can always call the LR dealer, they will answer your questions over the phone and tell you about that code.

Also, I have been on ALL of the US based LR forums for a while now and this is by far the best. LRO is more fun yes, but this one has the best info, real LR techs, and people who are willing/able to help you out.

I have to point out that your first post was answered by Mike and he gave you exactly what you needed and even looked up the phone number for you... This wasn't good enough for you? But judging by this (your second) thread maybe you should take your attitude somewhere else...

You say "you hate to be an ***" but it sounds an awfully like that's exactly what you are. Sorry I call them like I see them.

0170 needs to be reprogrammed by the dealer.

its not a bad part, just a bad program.

Default Try the dealer

Hey buddy, if you're not satisfied with the site then no one is stopping you from visiting the dealer for diagnosing and repairing your issues. Oh yeah, but the dealer isn't free like the web site is it?

By the way, I've saved well over $2000 in the short month that I've been on here making DIY repairs. Thanks for all the help guys.

X2, go see the dealer, give them your money and complain to them. This is a forum, NOT a search engine. If you ask questions....you get answers.

And WOW!!! Mike answered your question! But, if you're too scared to mess up your manicure by popping your hood and fixing the problem yourself, then no one here can help you.

I honestly do not think you hate being an ***. I would guess that you get bent out of shape over a lot of things that do not go your way as fast you would like. Some times in life you have to work a little harder than other times to fix things yourself and sometimes that means looking at multiple resources. Not sure what you do for a living that you have been able to spend two days on this forum, not sure how many hours that may be in total.

As others have said we are here to help each other, but not paid and not on call 24/7. We do what we can when we can to assist each other with whatever knowledge we have. In regard to BS answers, if I know only a little about a topic, I will share that and then defer to those who may know more when and if they may be on the forum and have time to respond. I think most others do the same. If you are going to own a Land Rover, you will need more patience and more resourcefulness to work on it yourself unless or you can just spend money. The dealer will always be there for you for a price. Also, I am going to guess you will need to get your answers from one of the other forums anyway from this point forward. If we wanted to be disrespected as a group, we could go to another LR forum for that.
