I have a 2006 LR3 4.0 v6 with a faulty fan clutch. I live in Puerto Rico and getting the correct part number will take about a month while they have the v8 fan in stock.

Does anyone know if the parts can interchange? I'm hoping the v8 fan is more severe duty but will still work. I did notice that one of the aftermarket fans (SKP 18855-02338581) lists compatibility with both the 4.0 and 4.4 engines.

LR025966 (4.0 v6) 1 month of overheating :/

Recommendations?

 

I think you will find the blades are in the wrong direction
